Frequently asked questions

Who can receive a Carea Box?
Anyone can apply for a Carea Box. Please note, however, that our products are complex and designed for professional use; they are not suitable for single-family homes, for example. All requests for Carea Boxes are studied in order to fill them with the most relevant samples for your project.

When will I receive my box?
Your Carea Box will be dispatched within two working days of confirmation by our team. You can track delivery by courier.

Where are your products made?
Our products are 100% made in France, in the Pays de la Loire region: raw materials are manufactured in Mayenne, sanitary products in Sarthe and façade products in Maine-et-Loire.

What about fire safety?
For both new-build and renovation projects, our grooved, interlocking and anchored product ranges are certified A2-s1,d0: our material is non-flammable and does not propagate fire. For use without framing, our interlocking and grooved ranges are laboratory-tested for 3rd family residential buildings.

Can façade products be installed on any type of substrate?
Exactly! With our three cladding systems, which can be installed with or without framing, our products can be installed on all substrates: concrete, masonry, timber framing and even double-skin systems.

  • Non-porous, naturally anti-graffiti and dirt-resistant
  • Highly impact-resistant

What are the solutions for dealing with singular points? Angles, returns, tables…?
Facade singular points can be treated in a number of ways. The most common solution is to use a cladding profile to cover the product. Depending on the product range, CAREA® has developed aesthetic solutions to reduce or eliminate the need for cladding profiles. These solutions can be produced in the factory or directly on site.

For more information, visit this page , and find over 40 data sheets to download, covering most common singular points.

Are curved or 3D façades possible with Carea facings?
We manufacture three distinct product ranges: Interlocking cladding, grooved cladding and anchored cladding. All our ranges are CSTB-approved and can be used to create curved or 3D facades in a variety of ways. Details and examples can be found on this page.

Are your products recyclable? Can they be reused?

Our references

Our products can be recovered and reused after their first life: we can recover them and recycle them (testing and cleaning) in our factories for reuse on the same or another site, depending on the project.

And in the event of demolition, our materials can be recovered by local authorities for use as road fill, for example.
