Substrates

In the construction industry, there are a number of different substrates, depending on the type of building and design requirements.
In France, three substrates dominate the building market. CAREA® cladding can be applied to the various building substrates commonly used in facades.

Concrete / Masonry

Masonry is the art of building a structure by assembling elementary materials, with or without mortar. It is by definition the mason ‘s art, but also the result of his work.

Timber frame construction (Timber frame construction)

A wood construction technique based on the manufacture of a “skeleton” made of load-bearing wood studs, between which insulation (glass, rock or hemp wool) is placed. This structure is then covered with Cladding on the outside.

Cladding panels, double-skinned systems, sandwich panels and timber-framed facades (FOB ) are just a few of the alternative substrates that can be used; contact us to find out more or if you have a specific project in mind.

You can find our Avis Techniques on this page (by type of cladding).
